Summer Days

My Blogging has about come to a hault this summer! I have been busier than ever before but cannot tell you what I have been doing or how long I have been doing it! The girls have had a one of a kind summer. They have always had to get up with me to go to daycare early in the morning...they did not luck out on their mother being a teacher! This summer has been different. We have a babysitter this summer and it has been wonderful! I was hesitant only because my girls have always loved Beckys so much...when others would be crying in the mornings, mine would be waving bye to me!! I still hope that does not change for Megan next year! The only time Megan would cry is when she didn't like what she had on!! As far as this summer, every morning I leave the girls in the bed...I get ready in the peace and quiet of my home and even do a little cleaning! Its been a while since its been quiet in the mornings. Alayna comes feeds them breakfast and lets them play. They have been busy going to art, swimming lessons, and VBS at FBC too. Alayna has taken them to the park with Trey and Walt's babysitter and also to Andrew's to swim! CarrieBeth cannot get enough swimming this summer! Bridget got them an above the ground pool where they can touch! And of course Shannan and Jay have a pool for them to go to and jump off the diving board. Megan swam to me yesterday for the first time! Today they each went to a friends house to play. I just do not think it could get any better for them! CarrieBeth lost her first tooth too!!!!
The sad part of this summer is that my grandaddy has been diagnosed with liver and pancreas cancer. They cannot cure his cancer but maybe could slow its spread by doing treatments. At this time, he is not doing treatments. I cannot imagine what he is thinking. I know he is 88, but that does not change the value of his life to us and the flood of thoughts that he must be having. We sang "It Is Well With My Soul" in church Sunday and all I could do was think about him. I hope and pray that whatever challenges I face in life, that it will be Well with My Soul! God's peace is so necessary...it encompasses His Comfort and his Dwelling.
