Proud moment of motherhood

Have you ever had those moments that you feel as tall as grass? Mine are more often than not! God has a way of using children to humble their parents! CarrieBeth, Megan, and myself were coming home from tumbling last night. I was talking to mother and telling her that CarrieBeth did good at cheer dance. A few minutes later, Megan started crying. She said "Did I do good at tumbling? Why didn't you tell that person you were talking to that I did good at tumbling?" So I dialed mother back and explained how well the other one did too! (they have cheer dance and tumbling back to back)
Then we dropped by Mr. and Mrs. Pinson's house for the girls to show their report card/school work to them. Mrs. Pinson had bought them a Fancy Nancy puzzle. She asked them if they wanted to take it home and do it or if they wanted to leave it at her house to do. CarrieBeth innocently said to leave it there because her momma says she is cleaning and CarrieBeth has to put puzzles together with her sister. Okay, that was it! Very humbling!
I will add to the New Years Resolution...I don't want to make an investment in a clean home! Who cares? I want to make an investment through my God in these girls lives. Who knows, we may start living like my clients live....or...maybe I can be a little more organized! I have a lot to do with them and for them!
And just how one compliment can help them is amazing....Megan's teacher wrote a note on her paper at daycare that said how good she did and that she was telling others the "correct" way to cut....She made me read that note over and over and couldn't wait to show her grandparents! Parenthood is challenging especiallly with 20-months-apart-females!!!!

  1. It's great how God is working through you in your parenting and showing you how to love your girls with His love!! Put those puzzles together with them, but please don't start living like our clients!! :0)
