Our schedule has been so busy lately! I don't know what in this world we do with our time! CarrieBeth has started t-ball practice. We graduated from playing in the dirt and she is ready to play ball!!! She is my "all smiles" child, so when she gets up to bat, her smile reaches from ear to ear. When she makes it to first base it is even bigger! Although I want to coach her on every little thing, that smile reminds me that she is having fun and is proud of herself! She is doing her best and that's what I am most proud of!
I could majorly tear up to think about what Megan did tonight when I was bathing her. It caught me off guard as I was trying to hurry and get her out of the bathtub. Let me begin with her comments over the past several weeks. She keeps telling me that she likes my hair. The funny things is that she tells me at the most akward times! Saturday morning, I was in bed, and she told me that my hair was "So pretty". Haha!!! Sometimes I will catch her eye focusing in on one part of my face. Her eyes almost cross because she is intently looking me over...its really funny! Tonight, I was bathing her and caught her eyes focusing in on my face again. You can't help but notice her! Before I could say anything like, "What are ya looking at?", she said "I like you". You are talking about a heart melting! This child is catching me in my most completely disgusting moments and doesn't know the concept of flattery (yet!!!)! She was really, really focused!
As usual, my children remind me of my own relationship to my Heavenly Father! I can only imagine what would happen if I ,as His child, would look "full in His wonderful face", focus in on Just Him for who He is, and tell Him how I truly felt about Him...I Agape You!...So many times, I use that flattery to God with an entire list of "wants" following! Megan didn't want anything from me at that moment, she just said what she felt in the only words she knew how to! She adores me even through my imperfections. And just think...My God is perfect! I look forward to the day, when my conversation to my Heavenly Father so simply expresses my adoration for Him! How can a 3 year old express adoration so simply, but be so focused? I can't help but think of one of my favorite songs, "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus, Look full in his wonderful face"...WOW!
